SLAN takes landscape intervention from a pragmatic approach which is distinct in the sense that it comes from the art and science of ecological design, rooted in participatory planning. This includes Environment Behavior Studies (EBS) and design principles as tools in understanding landscape issues and its social component. This forms the bases for proffering solutions to address multiple urban related challenges such as Urban Heat Islands, urban mobility, city planning, street-scape and city livability.
How we engage
We utilize rich set of tools and skills in Geo-spatial mapping, modeling and simulation, landscape character assessment and analysis, which form part of the resources promoted for fact based and measurable interventions.
